EXIM Bank Business Development Officer Recruitment 2026

Export-Import Bank of India, commonly known as India Exim Bank, has invited applications for 12 Business Development Officer positions on a contractual basis. The recruitment has been announced through Advertisement No. HRM/OC/BDO/2026-27/05. Eligible postgraduates in Finance or Marketing who possess relevant experience in banking, financial institutions or specified NBFCs may submit the prescribed application by email up to 15 October 2026.

This is an experienced-professional opportunity rather than an entry-level vacancy. Applicants should examine the education mode, marks, work experience and age conditions before applying. The Bank will not accept a general resume in place of the application format enclosed with the official advertisement.

Vacancies and reservation

There are 12 positions in total. Seven are unreserved, three are reserved for OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates, one for SC and one for EWS. Reservation is governed by prevailing Government of India guidelines. Candidates claiming a reserved vacancy should ensure that their certificate is valid, current and issued by a competent authority in the required format.

Posting locations

The advertised distribution covers Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi and Pune with one position each, while Mumbai has two positions. Educational qualification

An applicant must hold a Postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Finance. An MBA with specialization in Finance or Marketing is preferred. The Postgraduate programme must be of at least two years' full-time duration from a university or institution recognised or approved by the Government, AICTE or UGC, as applicable.

At least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA are required separately in Graduation and Postgraduation. Candidates must calculate their percentage according to the conversion rules of their university. Merely possessing a higher qualification does not remove the requirement to satisfy the stipulated marks and full-time study conditions.

The advertisement specifically excludes candidates whose Graduation or Postgraduation was completed through correspondence, part-time study, open university, open learning, external study, distance learning or e-learning. Applicants should not conceal the mode of study because original records can be examined during selection.

Required experience

At least two years of post-qualification experience is required in a Bank, Financial Institution or Upper Layer NBFC. The experience should relate to marketing products or services for Corporate Loan Syndication, Corporate Credit or associated areas. General sales experience outside the prescribed financial-sector environment should not automatically be treated as equivalent.

The phrase post-qualification experience means the relevant experience should ordinarily have been acquired after completing the essential Postgraduate qualification. Candidates should clearly describe their employer, designation, tenure and responsibilities in the career-summary section of the prescribed form. An experience certificate should accurately support the duties claimed.

Age limit

The candidate must not be more than 35 years old as on 31 August 2026. Applicants should calculate age using this exact cut-off date rather than the email closing date. Reservation applies under Government of India guidelines, but candidates should not assume a relaxation unless it is supported by the governing rules and their valid category documentation.

Compensation and contract period

For a candidate with two years of work experience, the stated compensation is ₹14.68 lakh per annum. It contains fixed and variable components in the ratio of 80:20. The amount may increase in accordance with the Bank's pay matrix for candidates having additional relevant experience.

The ₹14.68 lakh figure is annual compensation and should not be represented as guaranteed take-home salary. Actual periodic payment can be affected by the variable component, applicable deductions, taxation and contract conditions. The position is contractual and does not carry a regular government pay level in the advertisement.

The initial contract is for three years and may be extended for a further two years at the Bank's discretion. Extension is not automatic. Candidates should read the appointment terms carefully before accepting an offer.

Job responsibilities

A Business Development Officer will promote the Bank's products and services, identify regional opportunities and generate leads. Responsibilities include acquiring corporate clients, supporting customer relationships, assessing preliminary client risk, preparing financeable proposals and presenting notes or updates to internal committees.

The role also requires analysing market trends and competing products, preparing market insights and performance reports, developing corporate-client onboarding strategies and maintaining long-term relationships. Understanding international trade and related financial products is useful. The notification also highlights communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship-management and advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Selection procedure

The Bank will screen applications and shortlist eligible applicants for Personal Interview at Mumbai or New Delhi. The indicative interview-shortlisting ratio is 1:10. When the eligible pool exceeds that ratio, Postgraduation percentage may be used to draw the shortlist.

Meeting the minimum eligibility conditions does not create an automatic right to interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed. The Bank also retains discretion described in the advertisement concerning the recruitment conditions in case of limited response or an insufficient eligible pool.

Export-Import Bank of India ने Business Development Officer के 12 पदों के लिए contractual recruitment जारी की है। Finance या Marketing में योग्य postgraduate candidates, जिनके पास banking या financial sector का निर्धारित अनुभव है, 15 October 2026 तक prescribed application format ईमेल द्वारा भेज सकते हैं।

शैक्षणिक योग्यता

Marketing या Finance में Postgraduation आवश्यक है। Finance अथवा Marketing specialization वाला MBA preferred है। Postgraduate course कम से कम दो वर्ष की full-time duration का तथा recognised university/institution से होना चाहिए। Graduation और Postgraduation दोनों में अलग-अलग न्यूनतम 55% aggregate marks या equivalent CGPA चाहिए।

Correspondence, part-time, open university, open learning, external, distance अथवा e-learning mode से पूरी की गई Graduation या Postgraduation इस भर्ती में eligible नहीं है। इसलिए degree का subject ही नहीं, उसका study mode भी आवेदन से पहले जांचना जरूरी है।

अनुभव और आयु

Bank, Financial Institution या Upper Layer NBFC में कम से कम दो वर्ष का post-qualification experience चाहिए। यह अनुभव Corporate Loan Syndication, Corporate Credit या संबंधित products/services की marketing में होना चाहिए। सामान्य retail sales या unrelated private-sector experience को अपने-आप eligible नहीं मानना चाहिए।

31 August 2026 को उम्मीदवार की आयु 35 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। Reserved-category benefit prevailing Government of India guidelines के अनुसार लागू होगा। Candidate के पास prescribed category certificate होना चाहिए।

वेतन और contract

दो वर्ष का qualifying work experience रखने वाले candidate के लिए compensation ₹14.68 lakh per annum बताया गया है। इसमें fixed और variable component का ratio 80:20 है। अधिक relevant experience होने पर compensation बैंक के pay matrix के अनुसार बढ़ सकता है। यह annual package है, निश्चित monthly in-hand salary नहीं।

Contract प्रारंभ में तीन वर्ष का होगा और बैंक के discretion पर आगे दो वर्ष तक extend किया जा सकता है। Extension को guaranteed permanent appointment नहीं समझना चाहिए। Advertisement में regular government pay level नहीं दिया गया है।

काम की जिम्मेदारियां

Selected officer को bank products और services की marketing, new business leads, corporate-client acquisition और relationship management पर काम करना होगा। Client risk की preliminary assessment, finance proposal तैयार करना, internal committees के लिए notes बनाना और market trend तथा competitor offerings का analysis भी profile का हिस्सा है।

International trade तथा financial products की understanding, communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship management और Microsoft Office skills उपयोगी हैं। Candidate को application में अपने वास्तविक duties स्पष्ट रूप से बतानी चाहिए।

Selection process

Eligible applications की screening के बाद candidates को लगभग 1:10 ratio में Personal Interview के लिए shortlist किया जाएगा। Eligible candidates अधिक होने पर Postgraduation percentage shortlisting में उपयोग हो सकती है। Interview Mumbai या New Delhi में आयोजित किया जा सकता है। Minimum qualification पूरी करने मात्र से interview call की guarantee नहीं मिलती।
