Job Description
The Income Tax Department, West Bengal & Sikkim Region, Government of India has invited applications from meritorious sportspersons for recruitment to 57 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts.
This recruitment is an opportunity for eligible Class 10-pass sportspersons who have achieved recognised performance at State, National, International, University, School Games or other specified competitions.
The MTS post carries Pay Level-1 with a salary range of ₹18,000–₹56,900 under the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with applicable Central Government allowances and benefits.
Candidates must be Indian citizens, satisfy the prescribed age and educational qualification and meet the detailed sports eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Applicants should understand that this is a sports quota recruitment. Merely passing Class 10 is not sufficient; the candidate must also fulfil the prescribed meritorious sportsperson criteria.
Eligible candidates have to submit the prescribed application form along with supporting educational, sports and other documents by post/courier to the specified Income Tax Department office in Kolkata.
