Branch Postmaster (BPM): TRCA ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month. Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevak: TRCA ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month. Applicable Dearness Allowance and other admissible benefits are provided as per GDS Rules.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on a system-generated merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the 10th standard Secondary School Examination. Shortlisted candidates will undergo physical verification of original documents and other prescribed engagement formalities.

Job Description

India Post has opened the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026 for eligible candidates across different Postal Circles and Divisions in India.

This recruitment offers opportunities for 10th-pass candidates for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Candidates must have passed the 10th standard examination with passing marks in Mathematics and English and must have studied the prescribed local language up to 10th standard.

The selection process is merit-based. A system-generated merit list is prepared using the candidate's 10th standard marks, followed by document verification and prescribed engagement formalities for shortlisted candidates.

The TRCA slab is ₹12,000–₹29,380 for BPM and ₹10,000–₹24,470 for ABPM/Dak Sevak, along with applicable allowances and benefits under the GDS Rules.
