Educational Qualification

Eligibility is post and discipline specific. Faculty candidates require a recognised medical qualification along with the relevant postgraduate MD/MS or equivalent qualification. DNB qualifications are considered subject to applicable NMC guidelines and equivalency requirements. Experience

Professor posts require substantial teaching/research experience, reported as 13 years for general disciplines or 10 years for super-speciality disciplines with the prescribed service at faculty levels. Associate Professor requires the notified teaching/research experience, including prescribed Assistant Professor service. Assistant Professor in general disciplines requires the prescribed Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor/Lecturer or equivalent experience after postgraduate qualification; super-speciality provisions differ according to DM/M.Ch course duration. DMS requires 9 years of Hospital Administration experience in a Government hospital having at least 200 beds.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Eligible retired Government faculty may be considered for re-employment up to the notified limit of 66 years where applicable. Relaxations for eligible SC/ST/OBC, departmental, Ex-Servicemen, PwD and other categories follow Government of India, DoPT and GNCTD rules.

Salary / Remuneration

Retired Government employees are governed by the remuneration formula stated in the advertisement. Faculty remuneration is consolidated and the appointment conditions restrict private practice.
