RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026 Overview | भर्ती का संक्षिप्त विवरण

Railway Recruitment Boards have issued Centralised Employment Notice CEN No. 05/2026 for recruitment to 590 paramedical vacancies in different Railway zones and Production Units. The recruitment includes Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, Health & Malaria Inspector, Radiographer/X-Ray Technician, Lab Assistant and other technical healthcare posts. Online applications are scheduled from 15 September 2026 to 14 October 2026 up to 11:59 PM. The application fee can be paid up to 16 October 2026, subject to the conditions mentioned in the detailed notice.

Eligibility and Educational Qualification | पात्रता एवं शैक्षणिक योग्यता

Eligibility is post-specific. Nursing Superintendent applicants generally require a recognised nursing qualification such as three-year General Nursing and Midwifery with registration, or B.Sc Nursing, as accepted by the notification. Pharmacist applicants generally require 10+2 Science with Diploma in Pharmacy or B.Pharm and valid registration under the applicable pharmacy law. Health & Malaria Inspector candidates require the prescribed science background and recognised Health/Sanitary Inspector qualification. Radiographer candidates need the notified Physics-Chemistry educational background and a recognised radiography, X-Ray or radiodiagnosis qualification.

Lab Assistant Grade II candidates need the prescribed science education and recognised Medical Laboratory Technology qualification. Dialysis Technician, ECG Technician, Optometrist and Audiologist & Speech Therapist applicants must possess the exact technical degree, diploma, certificate, experience and professional registration specified for their chosen post. Equivalent qualification should not be assumed unless the detailed CEN explicitly accepts it.

Age Limit and Relaxation | आयु सीमा एवं छूट

The basic age range differs by post and extends from 18 years for some posts to a maximum of 40 years for Nursing Superintendent. The cut-off date for calculating age, category relaxation and special provisions must be read directly from the detailed CEN. SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, serving Railway staff and other eligible groups may receive relaxation only according to the notified rules.

Salary and Pay Level | वेतनमान

The posts fall within 7th CPC Pay Levels 3 to 7. Depending on the post, the initial basic pay is expected to range from ₹21,700 to ₹44,900, in addition to DA, HRA, transport allowance and other admissible benefits. Nursing Superintendent is placed at the higher end of the notified pay structure, while technical support posts may fall in Level 3, 4, 5 or 6. Candidates should match the exact pay level with the post table in CEN No. 05/2026.

वेतन सातवें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार पदवार Pay Level 3 से Level 7 के बीच है। प्रारंभिक मूल वेतन के साथ नियमानुसार महंगाई भत्ता, मकान किराया भत्ता, यात्रा भत्ता और अन्य स्वीकार्य लाभ मिल सकते हैं।

Application Fee | आवेदन शुल्क

The indicated fee is ₹500 for most candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and Economically Backward Class candidates. Refund after appearing in the CBT, deduction of bank charges, accepted payment modes and eligibility for fee concession are governed by the official notice. Candidates should retain the payment receipt and verify that the application status shows successful payment.

How to Apply | आवेदन कैसे करें

1. Open the official application portal at rrbapply.gov.in.
2. Create an account or sign in with an existing valid RRB account, as permitted.
3. Enter name, date of birth, parents’ names and other basic information exactly as shown on the Class 10 certificate and Aadhaar.
4. Select the appropriate Railway Recruitment Board and the paramedical post for which you meet every eligibility condition.
5. Fill educational qualification, professional registration, experience and category information carefully.
6. Upload the live photograph, signature, certificates and other required files in the prescribed format and size.
7. Review the form, pay the applicable fee and submit the application before the deadline.
8. Download or print the final application and payment confirmation for future reference.

Applications must be submitted only through the official portal: https://rrbapply.gov.in/. Recruitment notices, corrigenda, exam schedules and result updates should be checked on the official websites of the Railway Recruitment Boards. Do not submit personal information or payment through an unofficial form, social-media link or agent.

Selection Process | चयन प्रक्रिया

The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test, followed by Document Verification and the prescribed Medical Examination. The CBT is expected to contain 100 objective questions for 100 marks, with the major share allocated to Professional Ability. The indicative distribution is 70 questions from Professional Ability, 10 from General Awareness, 10 from General Arithmetic plus General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 10 from General Science. Candidates must verify the duration, negative-marking rule, qualifying standards and post-specific syllabus in the detailed notification.

How to Prepare | तैयारी कैसे करें

Begin with the official syllabus for your chosen post. Since Professional Ability carries the largest weight, devote most study time to core subjects from the qualifying course. Nursing candidates should revise fundamentals, medical-surgical nursing, community health, maternal and child health, pharmacology, infection control and emergency care. Pharmacy candidates should cover pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, hospital pharmacy, drug laws and dosage calculations. Laboratory, radiography, ECG, optometry, dialysis and inspection candidates should prioritise their own technical curriculum and safety protocols.

For the remaining sections, practise arithmetic, reasoning, general science and current awareness in short daily blocks. Make a formula and fact notebook, solve topic-wise questions, and take timed computer-based mock tests. After every mock, classify mistakes as concept error, calculation error, guesswork or time-management error. Revise weak areas instead of merely increasing the number of tests. If negative marking is confirmed in the detailed CEN, avoid blind guesses and use elimination only when reasonably confident.

तैयारी में लगभग 70 प्रतिशत ध्यान professional subject पर रखें क्योंकि CBT में इसका weight सबसे अधिक है। बाकी समय गणित, रीजनिंग, सामान्य विज्ञान और सामान्य जागरूकता को दें। हर सप्ताह full-length mock लगाएं, गलत प्रश्नों की error copy बनाएं और उसी topic को दोबारा पढ़ें। तकनीकी परिभाषाएं, सामान्य प्रक्रियाएं, उपकरणों की सुरक्षा, संक्रमण नियंत्रण, दवा या जांच संबंधी सावधानियां और professional ethics पर विशेष ध्यान दें।

RRB paramedical recruitment is conducted through centralised employment notices whenever vacancies are reported by Railway zones and units. A previous cycle can help candidates understand the computer-based test interface, document-verification process and level of professional questions, but it does not replace the current notice. Vacancy count, eligibility, age cut-off, fee rules, medical standards and syllabus can change from one CEN to another.
