OMR-based Written Examination followed by the prescribed selection process. The written test will consist of 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. Questions will be based on Class 12 HSSLC Science level: Biology 40 marks, Chemistry 20 marks, Physics 20 marks and General Awareness 20 marks. Selected candidates must undergo one year mandatory training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and pass the training before appointment. Job Description
Assam Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department has announced recruitment for 200 Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and allied cadre posts. This is a good opportunity for eligible Class 12 Science students who have studied Biology and are looking for a government-sector career in the animal husbandry and veterinary field.
Candidates must have passed the full-time HSSLC/Class 12 examination in Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects. The recruitment is open to Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam and can provide the prescribed Permanent Resident Certificate.
The selected candidates will receive Pay Band-2 of ₹14,000–₹70,000 plus Grade Pay of ₹6,200 and applicable allowances. There is no application fee for any category of candidate.
Selection includes an OMR-based written examination of 100 questions and 100 marks. The paper will cover Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Awareness at Class 12 Science level.
An important point for applicants is that selected candidates must successfully complete one year of mandatory training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science before appointment.
